Written by Peter Aloisi*
Peter recently stopped by and gave me a copy of his new book, "Fire Buffs." It is a collection of short stories that document the escapades of a hard core fire buff. The book tells stories through the eyes of "Paul" a pseudonym used by the author. Hartford firefighters will recognize many of the people and places named in the book as many of the chapters are about people and incidents which took place here. You will learn everything there is to know about the most decorated firefighter in the history of the Hartford Fire Department. There is also a picture of the svelte Edward Pospisil from an earlier time, and a great chapter about D/C Jim Errickson's last day. There are many other stories and pictures of people as well as major incidents from Boston, Hartford, NYC, and Chicago. "Paul" is well traveled and tells great stories that fire buff's and other interested people will enjoy. A great read, I highly recommend it.
You can purchase the book at Amazon.com or at Chariot publishing.
